Employment Opportunities

We accept employment interest year round but typically hire only as needed for each new school year.

 

If you are interested in employment with Dacula Classical Academy, please consider the following before submitting your interest:

  • ​All positions are part time/less than 40 hours per week. 

    • For teaching positions:

      • Staff development receives an additional stipend.

      • Teachers rotate through lunch hour supervision duties.

      • Teachers assist in afternoon carpool workflow.

      • ​There are a maximum of 27.5 classroom teaching hours available per week.

      • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday classroom hours are 8 AM until 4 PM.

      • Friday classes are held from 8 AM to 11:30 AM.

      • Rate of pay is $15-$22/hour based on teaching experience and class load.

    • For staff positions, hours and rate of pay vary according to the position. 

  • ​Additional information regarding teaching positions:

    • Prior teaching experience in a classroom or home school setting is preferred. 
    • A Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement.
    • Subject matter experience is required for certain teaching positions and preferred for all other positions.

  • We are currently accepting applications for the grade levels and all teaching specialties listed below for the 2020-2021 school year. If you have teaching experience at the noted levels or higher, possess a Bachelor's degree or higher, and would like to be considered for a position in the 2021-2022 school year, please submit your interest as noted below.  Mrs. Elder will contact you as the current school schedule allows.   • Currently available 2021-2022 Teaching PositionsPlease see the following section below for more information on the application process.

    1. Elementary Academic Teacher with experience in 3rd-5th grade classroom planning and instruction.

    2. High School Math Teacher with experience in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I/II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus

    3. High School Science Teacher with experience in General Science, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Advanced Biology options, and associated labs. May also teach additional classes that satisfy Georgia State requirements for graduation (ex: Forensic Science).

    4. High School Composition and Literature Teacher with experience in American and European/British Literature and Advanced Composition.

    5. Middle and High School History Teacher with experience in History throughout the ages as well as High School Government and Economics.

    6.  Elementary Drama and Expression Teacher with experience in inspiring, planning, staging, and executing dramatic productions for students in 3rd through 8th grades.

    7. Elementary Music Teacher with experience instructing 3rd through 8th grade students with expanding interest in and knowledge of musical instruments and voice.

    8. Middle School Art Teacher with experience planning and executing art programs to inspire creativity and fine art appreciation in 6th through 8th grade students.

    9. High School Art Teacher with experience planning and executing art programs to inspire continued creativity and fine art appreciation in 9th through 12th grade students--including the appreciation of Art History.

  • Currently available S taff Support Positions for 2021-2022Please see the following section below for more information on the application process.

  1. Receptionist:

    • Hourly salary commensurate with experience.

    • 27.5 hours per week.

    • Required Attributes:

      • Detail oriented.​

      • Highly organized.

      • Flexible personality.

      • Continuous learner.

    • Responsibilities:

      • Greet visitors/students

      • Answer phones

      • Schedule appointments

      • Copying, binding, filing

      • Other duties as assigned

  2. IT and Records Management:​

    • Hourly salary commensurate with experience.

    • 27.5 hours per week.

    • Required Knowledge/Attributes:​

      • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite--especially MS Access and MS Excel expertise

      • Basic website development/maintenance knowledge. Wix experience preferred.

      • Learning management system programming experience (Blackboard or similar LMS) experience. Small School NEO LMS (or higher) programming experience preferred. 

      • Able to bridge learning gap between IT platform and end-users (Admin, Teachers, Staff).

      • Strong grammar skills.

      • Organized and detail oriented. 

      • Continuous learner.

    • Responsibilities: 

      • Maintain various databases with student records--MS Access, Georgia State Student databases, etc.

      • Data entry and filing (paper and electronic) of student and family records.

      • Maintain NEO records and class logs--including copying, archiving, and creating new classes.

      • Train end users on NEO and other IT related programs.

      • Assist in office duties as needed.

      • Other duties as assigned.
